  • TJ Oil Pan Replacement

    I'm replacing my dented oil pan and have a question about a rubber seal thats in the way. It appears to be attached to the inspection plate that's sandwiched between the block and transmission and is sitting on the rear lip of the oilpan. I hoping it can be removed/replaced without unbolting the trans


    Oh, not my pan, I stole the pic of the internet...

    Those last two bolts that are closest to the rubber, are what holds it to the pan. Athinwall 13mm. socket is all you need and it will come off. Hope this helps.
