hey guys... kinda new here...just picked my jeep up the other day.
its an 1980 CJ5, its got a 304/4speed not sure what transfer case.... im kinda jeep illiterate.
The 304 is smoking pretty bad, and I just happen to have a 355 small block chevy that simply needs assembly. Its got some bowtie heads, forged pistons and other goodies. Should be a 350hp engine easily.
I want to keep the stock 4 speed tranny w/ the sbc engine for now. Is it possible to do that?
I know that kinda of power could easily snap anything in the driveline of this vehicle. But I am gunna slowly work my way up with this ride. I'm not too big into rock crawling... frankly there arent any around. Just the occasion ride off in the pasture and around through some deepmudd.... mostly riding the roads and picking up women
