After many years, many miles, and many sets of tires and rims on the YJ it's time to swap axles.
The 4 popper wasn't really much of a threat to the D35, but the new V6 has more HP and torque then the 4.0 so I figured I'd quit tempting fate.
New axle is 58.5" wide, 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern, 30 spline axles, and a 3rd member set up. 10x2.5" drums, but there's plenty of bolt on disc conversions, and no c clips.
It's an 8" from a 1990 Toyota 2 wheel drive pickup with a V6.
All the strength of the D44 with all the ground clearance of a D35
Just got to grind off a couple of spring perches and it'll be set. I'm thinking about using some JKS B3 ubolt plates for it since it's staying SUA.
