  • Rubicon Dana 44 Front End Not Engaging

I have a Jeep Wrangler and I put in the Front and rear axles form Rubicon.

I have wired my lockers so that the lights in the dask show when the lockers actually engage. My front locker is not engaging, the air pump just runs.

I checked out the front axle with the service manual and the gears are actually not engaging with the front off the ground.

There is a sensing switch that the manual says would need to be replaced, however I am not sure.

Has anyone with a Rubicon, or Rubicon Air Lockers ever had this problem and know what has to be done to fix the problem?

    Thanks

    Bill

    Answer

    Hello

Well I figured out what the problem was just in case any of you Rubicon users have the same problem.

First drain the oil in your differential, and pull the cover off.

There is a rubber hose that connects the pumps to the locker, that hose fell off. I put it back on and ty-wrapped it on.

Good Luck all and all of you be safe

Thanks for posting that answer. Hopefully I won't need it, but it's good to know. Mat

Is tie-wrapping the right answer then? Will that hold up?
