  • Tranny and gearing

My T5 is getting pretty noisy. I change the fluid and add Lucas before each major outing to keep it together. I'm saving my pennies to buy (what I'm thinking of buying) a T19. I'll be going from 5 speed to 4, but will be gaining a 6.32:1 granny first.

I currently am running 32" tires, and will someday upgrade to 33X12.5's. My diffs are 3.73's. I use 5th a lot, and only need to downshift on the longer hills.

I know going to 33's is gonna let me use 5th a little less. Simple would be to regear. However, if I regear, I think I'll be screwing myself on the highways once I get the T19 (4th gear is a 1:1).

    Suggestions? Input?

Is there a calculator that will let me determine what the RPM or speed will be with a certain gearing set-up?

    Thanks in advance

BTW, unsure if it is in my signature or not...I have a CJ7, inline6, dana 300 transfer, with stock axles.
