  • D30 U/Js

I have a spare set of Superior Evo axle shafts that need U/Js.

Where can I get full c clip u/js for not so much moolah.

i.e. not CTM, not OX, not Yukon etc...

you could get the clips from CTM, nd the u joints from quadratec (spicer)
    http://www.drivetrainoutlet.com/U_Jo...cle_Clips.html

i'd call VTM directly and buy some of them. they are likely cheaper than the above link.

no i want the whole U/J assy not just the c clips

quadratec has the alloy usa shafts and ujs as a set maybe i'll call them and see how much the ujs are alone.

spicer are made for the silly non c clip, c clip

you can install the full ring clip onto a spicer joint.
i ran mine like that for a while, and my spares are set up that way. the axles on my jeep have the CTM's on em'
saw no need to plunk down the money for the spares.

the diameter of the cap on the ctm is the same as the diameter of the cap on the spicer. they do both have to fit into the same axle shaft, dont they?

for your spares, the spicer joints will do fine. hell, i dont think i have ever seen one break that wasnt the result of the cap coming loose.
the only real reasn i went to the ctm's was the fact that the price was right, and to insure that those fancy axles didnt break as a result of u joint failure.

for that, i got to break a warn axle at the splines, resulting in a broken arb.
now i have the "super 30" axle shafts in there. 31 spline bla bla bla.

              blah, blah, blah

of course they are the same dia, but the spicer does not a have a snap ring groove. It has a groove for the seal which i suppose could accept a c clip but it's kinda naff.

I have the new Yukon Super Joints for the rig.

what groove do you put the c clip in?
throw the c clip in the trash, and put the full circle clip in the same groove

you made me go out there in the morning to take a picture just to prove a point.

here is a shot showing you that it is a spicer joint.

here is the full circle clip. this is not booty fab, it just fits.
these are superior super 30 axle shafts.

Nailer341, Your website is a neat site!!!!
You have anything on the drive shaft coming out of the transfer case to the rear wheels. Bent mine. Looking for upgrade or? Driveline outlet has a shaft, but it seems to be made for jeeps with 4 to 8 inch lift. I only have a 3 inch. I have a 05 tj. opps...dont mean to be hijacking here:hijack:
