  • a math problem

    If a flywheel is 13.5" in diameter, how far do I have to move the crankshaft position sensor to change the timing by one degree?

    a) 0.236"
    b) 0.118"
    c) 0.059"
    d) 0.039"
    e) none of the above

    ... 6 cyl with lockers at both ends.

      :dunno: slot the cps bracket and have someone check the timing while you move the cps around.

      I hate math. Is the problem 13.5*pi (mmm, pie) / 360 = .11775? Or is it more complicated?

        i think so...multiplying the diameter of the circle by pi will give you the total # of inches for the circumference. you then divide by 360 to get the # of inches in one degree of rotation.

        ?? does this sound correct?

          1st batch TJ bought August of 96. Locked and Loaded!

            yeah...but it's a 4 stroke motor which means the engine turns twice for each power stroke. Plus it's a 6 cyl, each cylinder can only occupy 1/6 of the available crankshaft rotation.
