  • Superior axle studs

Anyone know the wheel stud size that come with the Super 35 kit. I would perfer to buy the same studs that Superior supplies with their axles. A part # will be extremly helpful and a place where to buy them. Couldn't find anything on a search here or on Superior's web site

This may not be much help if you already have the studs installed, but I recently had the same problem with a different set of Superior shafts. I simply took one to Napa and asked for the same stud. They had em.

Thanks Rick. I think that's what I'll have to do. The studs that stripped were with Genuine Gear axles that were installed when I asked for Superior Axles. Another long story short, I have an extra pair of axles, the Superior's out of that deal. I may just go with an axle upgrade at this point and sell what I have. I always wanted that D60...maybe its time.

The studs for the Super 35 kit are 1/2" X 20 grade 8 and are hard to find at local auto parts. You can use a standard grade 8, 1/2" X 20 bolt if it is threaded all the way. You may have to grind the head of the bolt for clearance. Make sure you use red locktite when you install them. They usually strip from the use of an impact gun when the stud is not threaded in all the way. The locktite will help prevent that from happening again.

If you can't find anything, let me know.
