Noob intake question...

Hey anyone have an aftermarket intake on there 4.0? I just put mine in after it had been sitting in my room for like a year and you know the hose that comes off the stock air box and goes into the block, do you just leave that hose out and leave that opening open? or do you put like a breather on it? and what about the vacume lines that go into the back of the stock air box? just disconect them? i drove it around today, everything looked and felt OK, let me know guys my intake looks almost exactly like this...

haha nevermind, im an idiot, that tube goes to the exhaust not into the block, i just couldnt see it that well earlier, i didnt have my contacts in haha... now thats solved, what about the two vacume lines that go to the back of the stock air box?

Did you ever figure this out? I am looking to buy one for my renix conversion. Do you know if it is smog legal?

I dont know if it is smog legal, but im just going to put the stock Airbox back in when i take it to get smogged. And i just left the vac lines off, and it runs fine.
