  • Alt pooped on me... at Taco Bell drive through...

Yeah... so my alt pooped on me. And it happened to be at the Taco Bell drive through when I found out... had to shut of the Jeep to hear the damn speaker and when I turned the key... nothing... I knew it was going to happen its been squeeling like a stuck pig for a little bit now the pulley has been slightly seizing up every now and then... but now shes toast.

Anyways... need a new one... but I dont know which one to get. There was like two different outputs that I came up with... can I use either one? I dont remember what the ratings were for each... but will one off a 4.0L be too big? Cuz I can find them all over the place.

        Alt. 91-98

Nailer thats a good price for an alternator that puts out 165 amps. I think I'm going to get one. My 96 amp one struggles when I use my winch.
C92 It should work on your rig.

            165 Amp Alt

Erick did you have to change the AMP Meter? There is a foot note about it on the install instructions.

              New ALT.

Installed no problems. The only wire I had to change was the one from the alternater to the main terminal on the battery isolator. Needed to be upgraded to 4 GA.
