  • cut down 44 steering linkage

OK I have a cut down dana 44 out of a full size cherokee (SJ).

the plan was to use the SJ steering linkage after cutting it down, but the SJ has a bigger taper to the tierod end at the pitman than the CJ.

any ideas? will a heim joint tread into the existing drag link?

    Thanks

1980 CJ almost SOA and 44.....

Take the pitman arm to a machine shop have them use a tapered reamer to make the hole bigger , take the tie rod end so they can match.
