89 YJ Trans. Conversion...Need Help!

I have an 89 YJ converted to a 4.0 with the worst transmission ever in a Jeep. I was thinking about the NV4550 and the AX-15. Anyone with any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a CJ with an AX-15 and I like it. (XJ donor)

Latter YJs had the AX-15 so you may be able to find drive shafts too.

If money is no object then there are six speeds out there too.

I have a TJ with 4.0 and AX-15 and I like it. Not the best transmission out there but by far not the worst. Good thing about the AX-15 is it should bolt right up to your 4.0.
