Replace T5 with TF727 or 999

I was thinking of switching to an Automactic. Seaching the web it looks like the cheapest and strongest is to put in an TF 727 out of a full size Jeep pickup.

The chevy 350/400 are good trans but the adapters are $$$$$$.

I saw where Jeep has a 999 and the first gear is lower by a few .00's

Any Thoughts?

Tranfer case is Dana 300.

727's are strong tranny's. Most MoPar muscle cars have them. I have never had any problems with my 999. Just kiss your gas goodbye! Especially if you drive the freeway.
