    Any alternative methods for setting the tension in the serpentine belt without using a tension gizmo.

          The tension is set by adjusting the spatial relationship of the PS pump. To loose and the belt will slip, to tight and the axial load will cause premature failure of the blah blah blah.

            hehe, it was rick's response, i just typed it for him
            he said his method was "trial and error" and it did involve both of those two conditions.
