  • Front or Back?

I need a little help deciding. I got another Detroit. For the price, I could not avoid it. I can put it in the (finally under active construction) front 44 or in the back 44. Since the front is on jackstands, it would be an opportune time to just pull it apart and put it in since it's far more labor intensive. But, the simplicity of slapping it in the back axle is really tempting. So, what would you do?
    Thanks again for your input.

Front and selectable hubs would be sweet

      I vote rear.
I have seen too many selectable hubs breaks and the Detroit snaps from the torque transfer.
It's not what you have. it's what you do with what you have.

        I run a DL in both.:hide:
Use Milemarker hubs(OEM, Warn are JUNK).
        Never an issue-

Put in the front with selectable hubs. Put an ARB in the rear.

Is there any difference between the MM standard and Stainless Premium? I've done some research and found the Warn standards are the same pieces as Ford OEM. Interestingly, the Warn premiums have the same part numbers cast into them. It appears the difference is direction of locking and less travel on the premiums.

Don't think the SS ones fit our Jeeps-Not sure.
Here is the 5-bolt I bought. The quality is tops.

Far superior in material and strength over the OEM junk.

Thanks for the input. I'm -s-l-o-w-l-y- building a Wagoneer 44, so that's why I have time to ask. I value everyone's opinion on this.
