  • ring and pinion set up

    Can some one point the right way, my Dana 30 4.88 ring and pinion whent out.
    I would like to learn and try to do it my self.
    Is there any place on the net. that will show you how to install them???
    pluss if some one has a set of Dana 30 4.88 lp please let me know thanks.

    Try this link. It is a PDF file. Shows that you need a lot of fancy tools, which does make it easier, but you can do it with a minimum of tools. Must have a dial indicator and heigth gauge helps as well.

          i would sure like to learn how, ive been reading alot!!!
          However currently working on my other tj 1997 transmission swap from an ax15 to an NV3550
          I am almost done on that project i had to rebuild my transfer case in order to change the 21 spline input to a 23 spline input so the NV3550 could fit in there.

            If the transfercase input was 21 spline then it had a ax5 trans and most likely a 4 banger in front of that

              it actually had the ax 5 tranny in it and yes it does have a 4 cylinder
