    Wow, it was runnin dry. You're just not happy unless you break something on that Jeep regularly.
    Just kidding Ron.
    Sorry to hear you're having more problems with that. I too had my hopes that it was the linkage cuz I had the same issue.

        Me too. Took it to Ken's. He did a once over. Looked good. I requested he change the fluid not knowing when it was done. He agreed. It was then we found out it had no oil.

        I wish. But, might have a lead on another 231 and SYE. Was just emailed. Well see. Puts my stroker project behind though.

          The cause of no fluid in the 231 is the leak at the slip yoke fed by the pump and caused by wear in the tailshaft bushing. See 231 tailshaft woes for the OEM part numbers to fix it.

            I just bought the 231 w/SYE That should fix the leak?

              Yep. The SYE completely removes the tailshaft cone.

                Hey, I've had to adjust my T-case linkage a couple of times, it does pose a problem for us Ham-fisted types. The T-case with no oil? fill 'er up and keep on truckin'
