4.0L Question

Hi All,

I have a '97 TJ but the engine came out of a '98 Cherokee. Everything matched up pretty well but there's one "extra" piece I need some help with.

On the passenger side of the engine where the oil filter mounts, there's an angled piece that comes off of it and points the oil filter back rather than sticking out the side.

It looks factory, but it's leaking a bit and has a hex depression in the end. I'm wondering if this thing comes off, and how easy it may be to get off.

it does come off, it's there because the Cherokee's don't have so much room in the engine compartment. I forget what size you need to get it though...
