TJ: 2000 tj trans?

hey guys im working on a motor swap project and im just wondering which tranny i have under my jeep. its a 2000 tj with a 2.5L and a 5 spd. is there any way i can tell the difference between a ax15 and a nv3550? does anyone have a couple of photos of each? or is there a plate on the tranny that will identify it?

I believe yours came with an AX5; 2000 4.0s came with the NV3550. The AX15 was used with the 6 cyl. through '99 only. The AX5 is not reputed to be a robust tranny.

many thankyous. i will shimmy under and take a gander at her asap. it must have a tag on it some wheres or i can atleast measure it. with my luck its probably a ax5..
