I haven used them on my jeep, but have ridden on the same terrain, and am impressed with the way they work. I wouldn't hesitate to run them.
I ran my very new 35" MT/r' at 7.5 psi through the Rubicon, and Nick Vallens ran his Kevlar MT/r's at apx 8.5# ant they were sticking better than mine. His also maintained their shape better in keeping more ground clearance.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I agree about looks...they do look kind of odd. But you know how that always works, something new comes out and we don't like it for a while then it grows on us.
I have about a few more months before i need new shoes and was thinking of the KM2 or MTR. I know the MTR rocks, but its just the sidewall that drives me crazy. And yes, i know we shouldn't be basing the tire on looks but rather performance.
I was actually hoping i could buy the old MTRs. I've checked some websites.(Tirerack.com) and I think they are still carrying them. Do you guys know of anything different?

I bought a set of these tires for my rig and ran them on the Pumpkin Eater. Since they were new, they were not broken in so there for the traction wasn’t as great. Once I lowered them to 8psi, they gripped everything I rolled on. So far it’s a dynamite tire.

I bought my "old" style MT/R's back in March. There were like 9 that Discount could possibly put their hands on then.
Maybe Goodyear is holding out and kept a few in stock. I'd imagine that they'd keep a few floating around for warranty replacements anyway.
The way these work, next set will probably be the new MT/R's.
