Axle Help?

Looking into putting a D44 or Ford 8.8 in the rearend of my 97TJ.

Looking junk yard and what vehicles and what years will fit into and not need much fab work? I understand some will be needed.

Also is mopar selling the 44's for the TJ yet?

I heard they were going to but nothing on the web site yet.The ones like for the JK and a good price.

Quardratec and some other places have complete drop in Dana44 axles for a TJ. Anything else will have to have the brackets welded on. Still the right year Explorer axle is an excelent swap look on Jeeps unlimited for lots of info on that swap
Read this thread would give you a pretty good idea of whats involved with a Ford 8.8 axle. It's a good swap and not terribly expensive
