Well guys my gas gauge started acting up. It reads empty most of the time. Once in a while it reads something for a while like when first started then who knows what???? Any Ideas ????

the gauge went on my 97 jimmy like 3 years ago now, it was a 700 dollar touch to get fixed. they had to drop the tank and put in a new float or some such. i figured it was a waste of money so i just filled my tank, zeroed the odometer and drove around with a 5 gallon jerry can and when it ran out i limped to the nearest gas station, the mileage read 375K so now when its at about 350 i go and fill up, probelm solved. but it aint a 4wheeler so i dont have to worry about runnin out of fuel on the trail...good luck!
