You just KNEW this was coming. But if it works well (the power plant) I would put one in my Jeep in a minute.

Kurt, I agree with you. It seems like it wouldn't be that expensive to make. I wonder if plans for this are posted anywhere on line..... Might go look

What I meant was, a true hybrid power plant. That "kit" can be had on Ebay and other websites. They are targeted at RV owners. Very few, if any of them work as advertised. The theory is sound (as far as the Hydrogen generation) but the actual increase in gas mileage has not been documented by a certified lab as far as I know. Do your research before you go dropping $$$ on these things.

Not trying to rain on the parade....
You do need to figure out how many cubic feet of Hydrogen you will be making and be able to control it. (controlled 3 cubic feet per minute is good)
You also will need to be able to retard your timing to use the hydrogen efficiently to get better gas mileage. Because Hydrogen burns much faster than gasoline. very low octane (This will take a computer modification)
You also will need a system to shut down the Hydrogen system when it is out of water.
Remember you will be also drawing 30 to 40 amps away from your charging system and could cause premature alternator failure.

Besides that ..... it can be doable......
