  • Vibes with a BB?

I have a 97 xj with a 2 in. BB and I'm getting vibes when I let off the gas. There not bad but very annoying. I don't want to install a sye because it will be more expensive than the lift itself. What's my best bet? tc drop or angled shims. Any help is greatly appreciated.

From what I hear, 97+ are a pain in the ass as far as vibes go. A T-case drop would be a band-aid solution to the problem, but it will work for the time being. Angled shims need to be used to dial in your pinion angle, which is probably causing the vibes. The Pinion and the t-case output should be parallel to each other, when not using a SYE. Hope this helps!

Definitely do shims first. My parents have a 97 with the Upcountry suspension and it didn't have shims in it. My dad had to take it back to the dealer and explain to them what it needed. They did it and it drives nice. The Upcountry suspension package was about 3" of lift.

Try some shims and go from there.
