  • Running Sluggish

    Hey folks,

2000 TJ Sport with 35" tires, re-geared to 456. My I-6 has 135k miles with no major problems. In fact, i think the Jeep has been taken care of pretty good.

BUT it runs like poop. I can't believe that it runs this sluggish. When i had my long arm installed, they told me "Dude, it runs really sluggish."

    Any ideas, suggenstions pleas???

    Thanks

Start with the basics, plugs air filter, test your plug wires with an ohms meter, check for vacum leaks, do a compression test, maybe a leak down test to see if you have some bad valves. its hard to say with the info given, but start with the basics and work your way up to the more expensive items. remember gas spark and air. If things still don't work out, check your "Cat". Easy way is measure the temp before and after on the pipe.(spray bottle of water) If your cat is working right you should have a higher temp, (higher temp after), If not I would expect the thing is pluged.
