Engine Swap

Hey everyone,
Im sure this is a common question with all 4 cyl jeep owners but what all do I need to drop in a bigger stronger engine in my 91 YJ? Everything is stock except the 3" suspension lift i have with 33x14.50s. I dont have to tell you that power sucks as it is now. What has work for people in the past? What is a good crate engine? Would I have to replace the transmission? The gears? Cost? Just a few of my concerns. If someone could point me in the right direction with a link or any insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks again.

find a donor jeep and strip it. im sure you could find a cheap yj somewhere around you. even if the engine/tranny/etc needs a rebuild its alot cheaper then buy everything and fitting it yourself. or ignore that i go staight for the supercharged chevy bigblock and 700r4 trany. wow i just had an idea.......:tongue: lets go fast! and that supercharger is just a little guy. go big or go home
