Should there be any side to side play in the tranny mount? I grabbed by the rear output shaft and found I could move the transfer case/tranny back and forth about 1/2 inch without that much effort. It's a 6 sp manual, 2005 Rubicon.

The mounts are fairly soft rubber. I dont know if 1/2" is normal, but I do know you can move it side to side a little by hand.

Does it just lightly wiggle and give resistance or do you push it and it stays to one side or the other? Any clunk noise when you push on it?

I'd think it would be fine given how new it is but you never know.

There is no clunk when I push it by hand, but it does move rather easily. There is a clunk when i let the clutch out, most noticible in low range/ low gear. I haven't been able to trace the source, so I was wondering if the tranny mount might be the source.
