Jeep Computer Problems

Howdy from Texas. I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport with the 4.0. It has plenty miles on it, about 180k, just had the head done along with the gasket and a valve job. It's been great. Lately, usually intermittently, the check engine light has been off and on... and it has been sending some readings... several at a time. This morning it did fine. Turned it off and on again at a store and we're really hesitating on the cruising speed... but it does fine with a hard acceleration.

Do I just need a new computer or what?

One mechanic's tester said several sensors... another one said an injector or two were bad. Who really knows??

What are the codes specifically? Usually when a computer goes out, it stops throwing codes completely.
