I have an in-dash Alpine unit.

Which one did you get? I wanted the 9820 with the built in XM received but went with the 9847 so I could add on the iPod controller.

Yay! If i haven't already said it before, get the home kit!! It's worth the extra $40.

It gives you a home antenna with a base, a home power unit and a stand for your Roady2. It basically makes it so you can take it straight from your car to your living room, without having to move any wires. Plus, most living rooms don't have a cigarette lighter plug thing hehe

Something to keep in mind. A good friend is an aerospace engineer SS Loral, and he says Sirius. Also I read an article on it a while back, and Sirius has the better coverage due to the paths of their satellites.
