Thanks for the tip. The last company we had come out to redo both jeeps ran out of rear view mirror glue... and the windows leak

How can they do this? Are they just planning on you selling before the windsheild gets too pitted?

From what I understand, the wholesale cost for windshields is almost nothing.
So, even if they replace it once they are still way ahead.

They did say "chipping and cracking" though... not pitting

The part about wholesale makes sense, but if it gets too pitted, just take a center punch to it, that bad boy will crack!

I'm glad I finally just ran across this thread. I'm a little slow sometimes.

Lately, I've been using the Jeep as a daily driver while I'm temporarily in San Diego. The windshield looks like it's got a thin layer of paint sprayed on it when the sun hits it. That and the spot where a big rock hit it on the passenger side on the freeway coming home from wheeling one day. It also leaks like a sieve. :omg:

I'll have to see if they work in San Diego or Pasadena. I'll be in one of those places on and off in the near future.

              Thanks for the recommendation!

Jeez, who did you go through? I got raped on what I paid if you only paid $135.

                    Used Best Price Auto Glass.
They're in Adelanto, on 395 in the Pick-A-Part parking lot.
Don't know if they are only local... or what?

Dirtman 13 should look into this company. I think he's pretty tough on windshields. What with flopping al all.
