I have a 4 cylinder and I put 30" tires on my jeep from Dick Cepek the mud country and I love em but they are wearing out to fast on me I put alot of miles on my jeep everyday and I need some tires that will last me more then a year but will be good in the mud and stuff I'm stuck with this motor for at prob another 4 years and going to these bigger tires with the 4 cylinder is killing me when going up hills and thats with droping down to 5th gear. Do yall know of anything to give me some more power but not spending to much money just need it to last till I can get a small block chevy put into it

O.O Holy cow! You're putting a small block in it!?
Anywho...most MT's are gonna wear pretty quick if you drive them constantly on the road. They've got a softer compound than street tires, and seasonals. One way to eliminate that problem would be to buy a whole different set of wheels. Buy yourself some AT's or just a strictly Street tires, and mount them. When you feel like wheeling, just swap the wheels out the day before to your MT's and keep on rolling.
OR you could just google which MT tire has the best consumer feedback on the wear of the tire.WTF Mate?

I have the maxxis big horns. They are good tires. I don't think that they are going last any better then anything else but, they are a good bit cheaper to start so that helps. I don't remember exactly but, I think that my 35's were around $140 apeice. Pretty cheap for tires that size.'79 cj7, SOA. shackle reverse, custom cage, flow master, holly carb, 35" maxxis tires, custom bumpers and rockers, dana 44's locked, bead locks

yea my dads a mechanic and grew up drivin jeeps so we have the biggest debate over this hes wanting me to go to more of a street tire there cheaper and the wear is longer but I want more AT cause I love off roadin nothing to see me spendin all day cleanin my jeep next day it be pitch red (GA Clay)but I do appreciate the suggestions I got about 16,000 off these they work excellent off road ain't got stuck with em YET Perry mud bog comin up so we'll see. And barley took anything to get em balanced right and they have a little bit of a hum goin down the road but not much and drive smooth till now there startin to where out on me lol but still not bad just a little bit of a shake
and yes I said small block my dad had one in a cj 5 with 39" tires and could pop wheelys in it with no prob it was sweet

I agree with the AT's, I have run these on all my Jeeps and they last pretty long and do great off road. plus they look good! if you are getting a little bit of wobble have your tires rotated and make sure your air presure is the same all around.Jeeps Rock & Quads Too!

I just got the ProComp X-Treme Mud Terrains (found them used on Craigslist). I'm looking forward to getting out there and testing them, but I've heard some good things about them.
