I was gonna keep it on the roads but I am starting to lean towards wheelin' it. I guess I can't handle having a jeep that won't be taken offroad.

are you going to restore it totally? Like origonal engine type and all?

Funny you should ask that. Within' 3 days of having it I have it down to the chassis and motor. Some rust to remove, but it won't be a total restore. Engine will stay but I am leaning towards a more modern looking military jeep.

Nice find! Gotta love the fact that the predominantly warm dry air we get in these parts (southwest US) is so kind to cars- no salt on the roads, not much water falling from the sky... etc

Yah, a parade, that's what I was thinking too! It'll be awesome for local cruises to the ice cream shop, let alone some of the scenic trails you have out that way. Congrats! Your Jeep Rocks!

Sully is a tad jealous. Looks like a ton of fun. I expect to see you at the next trail ride with the new jeep.

Very cool. My first ride was a '52. Had a flat head 4 out of a '42 (I think), t-90, 700/16 tires, rode rough as hell, wouldn't get over about 35 mph, smoked like there was no tomorrow......damn I miss that thing!
