new member here.. been jeepin with my TJ for last few years.. saw you guys on the Miller Jeep Trail back in October (I was tagging along with some FJs) :doh
Might even have some photos of you guys at the camp.
I'm checking in on the forum as I'm doing the Mojave road tomorrow (despite the storm) and itching to find some challenging offshoots (rather than spending 2 days in 2wd).
    hi again!

      A treasure of knowledge

I joined just last month and feel like I've gained 6 months worth of expierence just reading the different threads. Searching back; I've even gotten answers for tech issues...enjoy your trip tomorrow!

Welcome to MJR. It's a great place to kill some time and maybe even learn something. I My have seen you in Miller. I can't remember exactly when I went to Miller with MJR but that sounds about right.
        :tumble:
It was like that when I got here.

Welcome to MJR. I ran with MJR up on Miller in early October and recall seeing some FJ's at Sunset camp along with some Jeeps that seemed lost Here is the thread for that trip so you can check out some pics from it as well.

I think that was Joe "Schmo"'s dog. Glad you like the forum. I'm a new member myself, that was the first time I'd wheeled with MJR and I have yet to be dissapointed in the quality of people and overall willingness to help out a fellow Jeeper or human being (as we have some non Jeep owners). I've taken to this group so much I'm planning to spend my NYE with em in the desert!

Tips - I was reading the thread from October @ Miller run. Some guy moaned about stockers, but I was glad to see you persevered and in a SQUARE!!

Yes, some folks haven't cared for me taking my stock YJ out to play but most have been very supportive of it and recalled that they too were a stocker at some point. We all start somewhere, some of us with a Rubi, others with an old beater that won't pass SMOG. Either way we all enjoy the same sport and the ability to leave our concrete hells to experience the joy of blending nature with technology all while challenging ourselves and technology to not get beat down by nature (she usually wins as proven by the well developed tech section).

Okay, I'm done. To our new Jeep, again welcome and sorry for my lengthy post.

In some respects you have more "fun" with a stocker.. Once it's built up, things become easier, and we all like challenges.

I have indeed enjoyed, "heavily modifying" my gas tank skid and various other undercarriage components.
