Help with 89 Wrangler

My son has an 89 Wrangler with a 4 cylinder engine. When he drives for approximately 2 hours or temperature reaches approximately 210 degrees driving on the interstate conditions, it shuts down. I thought it was the coil breaking down under heat, changed it, didn't work. I have changed the fuel filter as well. Any suggestions. Thanks

Does it start right back up or does it have to cool down?

While it is cooling down, it may crank and run for a few seconds but dies. It takes about 20 minutes to cool down and then it starts back up.

Sounds like a clogged Catalytic converter to me. As they get hot they close up and will stall the engine.

Don't know much about it but could it be Vapor lock?

Does it abruptly shut down as if someone turned the key off?

Could be the ignition control module going bad...
