  • 93 YJ from Santa Ana

This is our new toy. Picked it up three weeks ago and and have spent every day since then doing "something" to it. Here she is right now.

This is our first jeep. I don't know anyone that's into wheeling, so we have to take the trails alone. I can only carry so many spare parts. It'd be nice to meet some people and have some backup. We were thinking of going up the Lytle Creek Trail this Saturday if anyone's interested in meeting up.

    Welcome to MJR!

    Nice looking YJ.

There's lots of members in the OC that go wheeling all the time. It won't take long for you to meet some of them.

WELCOME, fellow square head lighter! I have had a red 93 YJ for a few years now and they are great for wheeling!

      Do you have a 4cyl of a 6?

I am down the road just a few miles from you in Lake Forest!

Welcome to MJR!! Whatever you do...do NOT wheel alone! That's the #1 rule. If you want some great company on a run...just post up the run in the Trail Run section. There's always something going on and if you wanna do something different, just post up There are lots of people here who would love to teach the Newb's how to wheel safely and the do's/don'ts. Don't be afraid to ask...there is no dumb question when it comes to your safety.

Welcome to MJR. Regardless of what your mom use to tell you as a kid, it's ok to play in the rocks and dirt!! Enjoy your new toy. Can't go this weekend, but might be looking a few weekends out to go somewhere.

Welcome, Slim. Wheeling's one of my favorite things to do alone, but sometimes I like to join up with a herd.

Never ever ever. Just hoping to find a guy that tow out the Ol Axle Snapper should he need a hand.

For those of you that are interested, it's a 6 Cyl Auto. Since I got it a few weeks ago I took out the carpet that did nothing but get dirty and slide around under my feet and Heruclined (Herculinered?) the whole tub. I put on those 33x12.50x15 Adventuro M/T tires and Cragar Wheels. I got new roll bar pads installed just yesterday since the old ones were trashed and I've been replacing all the rubber factory bushings with some polys bit by bit. I get a few done every night after work. The nice thing about California cars is they aren't all rusted up. Just about everything breaks free, though I did break a pitman arm puller trying to get the pitman arm off. Still hasn't budged. Whoever did the lift didn't put a drop arm on there so it doesn't turn all the way to the right, I should be able to pull the arm off and move it over a couple of splines to get it to turn all the way. Anyway, that's where I'm at. The plan's to do the Lytle Creek Trail on Saturday. I've never been out there. From what I've read it's an easy trail. It's mostly just to take a nice drive.
