Well, I finally got my hands (and my poor, poor bank account) on a Jeep Wrangler at the beginning of January. I've been wanting one of these babies for a long time... my little Chevy S10 2x4 just didn't cut it for me!
She's an '08 Red Rock Crystal Wrangler X (2-door), I was actually looking for a TJ, but when a good deal falls into your lap... plus, I've had her for almost two months now and I'm kind of in love, so it all worked out. I have a few pictures, but they were taken at dusk so they're all pretty dark. One of these days I'll get around to taking new ones.
So far I haven't had the money to do any modifications (I've got some other things to take care of first), but I'm planning on a new set of bumpers - at the very least a new front one, 'cause the stock JK front bumper is pretty fugly... though it is plenty big enough to get a good foothold on when washing the hood and windshield - and winch so I can get out on the trails. I'll add on skid plates and lights and so forth once I get going, they're just not on my short list of Things To Do.
My girl's a hard top so, as much as I'm really enjoying the Freedom Top panel-system (they're great for the temperamental Pacific Northwest spring weather here in WA), I'm also looking at some soft-tops - probably just a partial one, like the Bikini tops, 'cause if I've got the hard top off it's warm enough that all I need is a little shade. I'm also looking at doors (mine are full and I'd like halfs or even the safari/element style for summer) and some minor things... like a fuel tank door and Oh Jesus Handles so my mom can stop freaking out every time I take her for a ride.
... so many plans, so little time and money...
As for myself (because I suppose I should introduce me here as well); I'm a 21-year-old female college student who watches far too much television. My major is archaeology and I'll be getting my fancy piece of paper saying I've been trained how to dig stuff up in nice, square holes in spring.
At which point I think I'm supposed to be finding a job or something.
