Trail Report: Rubicon 19 Aug 11

Got my fill of rocks Friday. Hit the trail at Airport Campground at 0700, and finished at the Lake Tahoe parking lot at 1500. A tour guide heading in thought my time was pretty awesome. No damage that a can of black spray paint can't fix either. I ran the entire trail by myself and only ran into 3 groups all day, all above the lake on the slabs, 1 making a trail repair, 1 I had to wait to get a broke rig off the trail, and the last let me pass them. It was warm and dusty. If I ever do it again, I'm taking 2 days to do it, it was alot to do in only one day. I did take a swim and nap after the run, which was much needed. BTW, the trail is not marked good for a virgin, and to make matters worse, there are tire tracks running everywhere, so I spent a few times on foot trying to find the correct path. I definately feel like I accomplished a tough trail. Did I say lots of rocks? Big rocks?
