  • Pics from Holcomb Creek Today

Heres just a few of the pics from Holcomb Creek! What a blast it was! We split in two after this trail. Some of us

ran Gold Mountain, and others ran John Bull. I hope the guys from John Bull make it back OK. We hit snow in Big

Bear Valley and traffic was becomming a nightmare!

We made it down John Bull with no problems! We didn't run into very much traffic coming up as we went down.
Traffic sucked trying to get down the mountain. Fortunately there wasn't any traffic accidents. Only people that can't drive in incliment(SP?)weather.
      Money pit!

And George, to answer your question - we made to 8064' according to my calculations

They were a little slippery here and there, but not nearly as slippery as the drive down the mountain on Hwy.30 we passed lots of peeps who were not prepaired for snow. A Nissan Exterra was on its side in a ditch, a Jag stuck in the road! Idiots everywhere were slamming on their brakes!!! I could have made a fortune by getting out my tow strap!!

                        john bull forwards

Eric and I ran the John Bull forwards, and it was a good run, we passed the 2 jeeps and 1 toyota going down, and then caught up with them on the way out. Thanks for letting us use your air tank to fill up,much faster that way. We had a great day too, very pleased with the way the cherokee did.
