V2R – Vegas to Reno!!! August 19-23, 2009
“Vegas to Reno” the long way!!! is the longest off-road point-to-point race in the United States. Another 1000-mile race to be aware of.
I will be part of the chasing trucks’ crew for Wisdom Racing Team, which belongs to Class 1100. As far as I know, I’ll be doing more or less the same as I did for the OBC 2008 race in Australia, but with a little more mechanics role this time, not focus on video or pictures at all, but you know me, I’ll do my best to cover the race from my point of view to share with you.
As of today, I’m engaged with the preparation details, helping with basic stuff, learning where the tools are, cleaning parts, drilling (graduated with honors), and keeping order, all that stuff that Joe somehow paves the way for.
The fun-meter needle is in the red zone, the gauge indicated that I barely have enough vacation days to finish the year with must go events like Baja and Pismo in November. I saved those days. If I don’t do more off road stuff, is due to that, there are plenty of fun trips coming to my inbox each week. Not to mention the monetary part of it $$$.
