Tread Lightly! is urgently seeking volunteers for an important project in the Sierra National Forest on the Bald Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle trail in California. The project is part of Tread Lightly!’s program called HUMMER’s Recreation Rescue. Plenty of press will be there to record your hard work, so we need a great showing!
Volunteers will be needed to help clear a short trail reroute and also to help fence off some areas. We will also be digging holes, laying pipe, pouring cement and filling in holes. The work will help enhance and repair several areas on this popular trail.
Please let us know if you would be available to help us. We will also be holding a one-hour Tread Trainer Awareness Course the night before if you'd like to attend that as well.
