  • Re-Re-Run Los Coyotes December 20th

For those that somehow missed the last 2 trips or want to go yet again i'm heading up there Saturday morning for some wheeling with 3 other Jeeps.

We are meeting at the main campground at 8:30AM. We plan to airdown/un-pin and head out on the trails at 9:00AM.

Well our group consisted of 4 Jeeps total on Saturday. Short notice, having been there 2 weeks in a row and the holidays so close insured a small trip which was no supise to us.

A friend just got his CJ running again after almost a year of down time. He installed a new Currie HP 9" rear on his Jeep and was ready for a maiden voyage with it. This was the main reason we went he had been itching to get his Jeep on the trails for along time.

We took it rather easy for the most part. He knew there would probably be problems with his Jeep since it had been down for so long.

Sure enough on our way to the first trail he grenaded a front u-joint on one of the main roads. It was a quick and easy trail repair and then we were at it again.

We ran Ladybug Lane and alot of the areas around 4 corners and then headed to Bagby's Rock. Going under the rock a fellow YJ punched a small hole in his softtop and on the way out i put a pretty serious set of scratches on the left-side rear of my hardtop when i too bumped the rock.

We ended the day rather early around 3pm we all had stuff to do and no one wanted to be there for the dark. We covered alot more area then i'm use to on LCIR runs i guess it was the small group and lack of problems that accounted for that.

I'm pretty sure we are done with runs until after the New Year, we plan on heading back to LCIR early in January.

My wife tagged along with her camera in tow. She took around 4 rolls of film. She isn't a fan of digital cameras so i have to wait for them to get developed. She gets them put onto cd for me so i can get them online.

I'll toss up the pics as soon as i can get my hands on them.

          ROCKIN!
Are you happy with film? Do you use a professional camera? Maybe we can start a 'cameras & film" thread in off topic, because Rick and I have been talking about going back to film. You can't beat the quality.

Yes, that wold be a good topic to run a thread on.

Digitals can't be beat for their ability to snap it and upload it to a computer, but i think a good film camera will take a better picture hands down.

If you don't mind waiting for film to get developed then film is the way to go especially since alot of the developing companies like Kodak will put your pictures on a CD for you for a small additional fee.
