  • Support Our Military

Nineteen year old Seth Stanton was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. He was a member of the NAXJA community and went by the name xjfire. There are several posts in the Colorado chapter area of NAXJA. The Colorado chapter is selling a window sticker to raise funds for a memorial project. The proceeds will go to the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition. The COHVCO has a couple different ideas for the remembrance project. Donations can be made to COHVCO also.

A sad story that unfortunatly happens almost every day. We are losing a lot of young kids over there. Another way to support the fallen heroes is through the Patriot Guard riders. www.patriotguard.org Their mission is to show respect and to protect the family of the soldiers from undesirable protesters that have been showing up at military funerals. I have participated in two of the missions so far. I wish I would never have to participate in one again, but if called upon I will attend every mission I can.

Deamer, Thank You for your service. I visited your link to Patriotguard.org. It looks like a good organization to support and I like the fact that it has a scholarship fund. I will continue to donate to this group. This is also a good resource http://www.fallenheroesmemorial.com/links.html

      I also like this one

If I have money for big tires, lift kits and beer, I can support those that are dieing for me. Think about it. Even small donations help. Do it.

The longer this goes on, the odds are that someone you know is affected. Our son's best friend was killed by an IED. He was a 22 year old Navy Corpsman with a Marine unit.
God Bless those that are serving, and those that have served.

I have never served in the arm forces I have however worked as a civilian contractor for Lock Heed Martian on the Nellis AF booming range as range support for 4.5 years and now work and live in Hawthorne NV for the US army on the ammo depot here for 3 years we had a young man killed in Iraq last year and also thought we would have problems with protesters we got support from 3 bike groups and are local search and rescue which I'm a member of we had very little protesters which is a good thing and things went well we have started a fund for kids in the honer of the young man
If you do not know Hawthorne NV is very patriotic and do allot for to support our military both with the depot and the family's in Hawthorne

I will probably end up joining once I graduate from college. My parents don't support me at all in joining the military, even while I want to do it. My dad served 21 years before he retired, and my sister served 4 years, one of those in Afganistan. Unfortunately she was discharged due to intense battle stress...so she desn't support me either. So, i'll wait till after I graduate from college to decide whether I will join or not.
