  • Looking at newer Jeep... 5spd or auto?

Thinking bout getting a Tj. My Yj is getting tired, falling apart, and it's one thing after another. I'm also down to about 8-10mpg which really sucks...

Anyways, can't decide on a auto or 5spd. Auto is easier to find, 5spd is hard to find and more expensive when I do find them... I always get 5spd... I don't normally like auto's, but lately I have been driving my dads truck hauling stuff and it's easier thats for sure. So now I don't know what I want.

I also know that depending on what you are looking for it can be better to get the 5spd or auto. I have heard people saying that one is better for mud, the other may be better for climbing, ect... My Jeep is a daily driver in the winter, summer it's driven on hot sticky days topless or when camping. I do very little rock crawling, but alot of trail riding, the occasional sloppy muddy spots, and making new trails to camping spots. It's MN... lots of woods lol. I also want at the smallest 32x11.5 tires and atleast a 2" lift, though I have heard 32's will fit stock on a TJ...

I dunno... I feel like I'm rambling so... throw out opinions...

Sorry if this should have been posted elsewhere... figured it would get more opinions here.
