Having a first child means generating LOTS of pictures and video. I was investigating a family video blog and, in the process, discovered the Internet Archive and OurMedia.

By opening an account with the Internet Archive, you open an account with OurMedia automatically. With OurMedia, you can easily upload and manage your media entries.
You may store any media type (text, audio, graphics, pics, movies, executables) in any amount indefinitely. If you are the creator, you may establish very specific rules regarding use and distribution.
The caveats are that the archive is designed for historical purposes and research. Therefore, the content is searchable by anyone on the internet forever; don't post your credit card numbers or your Las Vegas nekkid adventure pics without thinking about it once or twice. The other part of that is that the Archive wants definite keywords to make research in the future easier, so, if you're not prepared to describe your media for future generations, it won't get uploaded.
On the other hand, just imagine, generations of future fourwheelers (or anti-gravs or whatever it is we will be doing) will be able to find pictures of MJR members getting the strap, peeing on the trail, or even having fun!
