  • Anyone have a big "boat" car, like 1970's cars that I could borrow?

A few folks and I at work are doing a short 3 minute film on the side, and we're looking to find 1 large car, something like a big 60's/70s/80s land-barge Caddy/Lincoln or anything even remotely similar to that in which to shoot a few shots with. Something with a large back seat that could fit 3 adults. 4door would be ideal.

Color doesn't matter, make doesn't matter, and it doesn't need to be a clean car. In fact, we would rather it not be a clean restored looking car, if it's a beat up rusted old car, that would actually fit the film better. But we'll take what we can get. Stock, modified, doesn't matter. 4door would be ideal, but we could work with a 2door so long as there is relative easy access to the rear seats. Oh and yes, the windows should be working so that we can lower them for shooting.

We would need the car for one saturday in Mid June (Saturday June 16th) and possibly a second day (Sunday June 17th) as well as for an hour or so for one establishing shot that can be done pretty much any other day in mid-late June.

We don't really have any budget to spend, so we are looking to find a car that we can borrow for free. Obviously we would take care of the fuel for the owner (and meals, if the owner wishes to be present). We could probably come up with a few hundred dollars to compensate the owner for his time and use of his vehicle. And if needed, we could most likely work out a vehicle trade for the days we need the vehicle for, if the owner has no other vehicle to drive around in and doesn't have time to be present all day during the shooting.

No stunts or hard/fast driving. In fact, most of the shots will be interior shots while parked in a parking lot, but there will be one shot of the car in motion coming to a hard stop, and maybe one or two establishing shots of the car driving on the road (no faster than the speed limit, and no maneuvers/stunts), but the majority will be filmed inside of the vehicle.

Anyone have a car like this, or know someone who does and might be willing to let us borrow it? I would rather not give to many details publicly just yet, but it's not for a porn movie or anything like that, it's clean. (because I just know someone's gonna ask that, LOL). We are all professionals, we aren't film-school kids looking to shoot a car joy riding.

PM me and I'll give you my contact info.
