  • Beer for MY Horses! =)

Hey all!! Any Toby Keith, Ted Nugent, or Willie Nelson fans in here? They're all starring in a new movie called Beer for My Horses..... and honestly, the soundtrack is really good. Go check out a clip from the movie, but definitely pay attention to the soundtrack:

I couldn't even imagine Ted Nugent and Willie Nelson being in the same room with each other.

I think my favorite western of all time stars Willie Nelson . . . BARBAROSA!!! He's about the only country singer I can stomach too.

Dude, I need to make you a project of mine!

You have never been exposed to the real country, people like Hank Williams, Hank Snow, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, and so forth. If you were ever able to listen with an open mind, you would be surprised how heartfelt and touching thier music was!

Please, just this once go to You Tube and listen to "I fall to Pieces" by Patsy Cline. If she doesn't tug on your heart, I promise I'll never bug you again about it! Deal?

I love Patsy Kline, but the rest of that carp you can keep. I grew up forced to listen to Hank Williams Sr. Like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I've seen Toby Keith and Ted Nugent before in concert, but never Willie Nelson. Don't know if I'd pay too much to see him... I'll probably want to see the movie though.

Gotta tell ya Roger . . . I'm not really the "tug on your heart type"!!! I like to consider myself more of the cynical, cold, isolated, bitter, angst ridden type:mad: . . . and I like my music to match!

However, I did take you up on your deal and listened to "I fall to Pieces" as you'd requested. Did it tug at my heart . . . no . . . but as I'm sure you'd agree, music and the love for a particular artist or song has a lot to do with timing, experience, and situation. It was my mistake lumping all country music together (Willie is still the MAN) as in my opinion all genres suck . . . kinda like any large grouping of people . . . but if you look hard, you'll find gems amongst them all.

"Old Soul" is what many have said . . . I started getting that when I was in my teens. But it's funny . . . my grandma was going thru pics a while back with the family and mentioned that even as a small child I rarely smiled but always had the crinkled brow. Pobrecito . . . que lastima! I should probably seek some professional help but F that, I'd rather go wheelin'!!!

Schmo, that attitude comes from watching so many get it handed to them free, and then when you step up, yer told you 'gotta pay yer dues...'

:hijack: For all the cynical, bitter, pessimists out there . . . especailly those of you that work in an environment where all that corporate motivational, self help :poop: is forced down your throat . . . check out this site: www.despair.com. I just placed an order . . . got a couple of tees coming and couldn't pass up on the Pessimist's Mug . . . the description alone was worth the 10 bucks!

                            The Pessimist's Mug

In these irrationally exuberant times, it's getting harder and harder for the self-respecting pessimist to stay unhappy. So pervasive is the hope, so overwhelming the positivity, that without the firmest grip on your sullen perspective, you might actually lose it. Then one day, you wake up looking at the bright side, whistling some inane showtune, and generally annoying everyone around you.

Fortunately, we've created a solution. Despair, Inc. is proud to introduce The Pessimist's Mug™ Specifically engineered by the chronically cynical pessimists of Despair Laboratories™, this crystal-clear mug will help all who drink from it to Stay Grounded™ by forever reminding them to see when the glass is half-empty.
