OK everybody. we all know how it works, jeep is either covered in dirt and dust from a trail ride, full of "off-road gear", missing doors and/or top, parts may be broken or loose, you name it. but how rare is it that it's all nice and clean with the doors and top installed?

so what do you do if you happen to score a date with a fine gal and the jeep's not pristine? post what you've either had the most success with or preferred condition of the rig during said initial encounter.

I'm not much on the happenin' dating scene...but I think your description above warrants at least a washing. Depends on what the gal's like and what the date is.

Well, 20 years removed from the dating scene, as for what I can remember about it, at least wash off the dirt. But at the same time, are you going out for burgers at In-N-Out or Hamburger Hamlet?

Dude, wash yer junk. I am all for topless, doorless jeeps... that is just cool and different and "a jeep thing." Washing the jeep, allthough against all that most of us stand for, will show her that you at least care that much... and if she wears something nice, you don't want her to loath the thought of getting in that jeep.

You need to find out if you two will be compatable. Think about where you are taking her and how she will probably dress. If you are going to an upscale restaruant, you better borrow mom's car because she will be dressed very nice. If you are going to the movies or something like that give the Jeep a good washing, don't worry, you can always get it dirty again

Wash the Jeep, and leave the doors and top as-is. But since you live near the coast, you should take a jacket, sweatshirt, hoodie and/or scarf to lend to your date so she can keep warm and won't mess up her hair. If the first date works out, you tell her to keep those things and give em back to you on the next date.
