  • YJ Tie Rod

Can anyone tell me what the thread size is for the stock YJ Tie Rod ends.

My measurements indicate M22 not 7/8" can anyone confirm?

    TIA

I seem to remember it's 11/16 x 18 I may be wrong, but then again..
Mighty 4 banger YJ, 35's,4.88's, 30 splines, Detroits, 4.5" lift, TJ flares, Scorpion Offroad stuff, blah, blah, blah.

      Thanks for the reply.

The *drag link* is 11/16 (I happen to know that ) - the tie rod is much larger.

I got them upside down.... but hey I ran a 7/8 jam nut onto one of my old ends, after attacking it with a wire brush. It of my a 95 yj, the nut seemed to fit perfectly. I'm not sure what year they changed the sizes. hope this helps..

The OD is .860" with 17 tpi which is closest to M22

7/8 has an OD of .875 and 9/14/20 tpi.

          I think I'm going with M22...

M22 sounds like it must be the one, I love Jeep and their mix of standard and metric. I better go and check out what the one on my steering is i was going to pack it as a spare!
