Yes, a lot more work
Going to be doing this on a TJ and Grand Cherokee with the old style knuckles (not the WJ cross over one). A friend of mine has already worked on on new mounting points on the knuckles to bring the tie-rod up further. He says he moved them up about 1.5", have not seen them yet, I will try to get some picks of the modified knuckles but his wife just had surgery so I doubt I will be over there anytime soon doing jeep work.
Modifing the sway-link mounts he assures me won't be hard. He is the kind of guy that never really tells you what he has in mind until he is ready to do it
I have pretty much settled on using TRE and not heim's so it will be an inverted t and not a true cross-over. (Wow, I actually sound like I know what I am talking about)

are you going to be attempting to install this on your tj?
if so.. there is a lot more work involved to get a cross-over steering system of this type installed onto a tj.

closer would be good. I was interested in how you attached the stabilizer and I really can not make it out.
Thanks Erik, you have been a great help on this!

Ahhh, tapered reamer ball joint is the magic word. I tried tapered drill bit tapered reamer blah blah blah. I guess maybe I should have paid more attention in shop class
Thanks!

I am in the planning stages of doing this to my TJ.
If anyone knows where I can find that tapered bit please let me know!
All my searches are not revealing anything like that.

I have a friend that is going to give me his stock CJ arm. It has no drop to it. I am not sure what the eye to eye measurements are. If it will work that is cool if not then I will check out the Ford Ranger arm that you mentioned.
Thanks.

sorry i cant tell you where to get one of those.
i saw someone selling them on ebay before.
Any reason a stock YJ pitman arm would not work with this mod?
