give it another try, brian. i have completely disabled the hotlink protection. if you still can not see them, it is most certainly something on your end.
    please let me know.
also, if you could please pm me the link in your browser when you are viewing this page.
    thanks

started a topic yj steering upgrade

    yj steering upgrade

well, this is my next upgrade.my last run through "nailer wash" smashed my steering stabilizer all to hell, and bent my tie rod.
so... rather than replacing this again, i am going to upgrade to a different system.
i have done a bit of research on this, and decided that the most cost effective, and strongest steering arangement i can adapt to my dana 30 is as follows.

A very popular Inverted T setup is to use '85 Chevy Blazer steering joints and custom tubes.
parts i will need for my application: per the pirate thread.

ES2233L mounted to steering arm, with stock steering stabilizer hole re-tapered so that ES2234R on end of draglink will fit to it.

ES2234R of tie rod attached to drivers side steering arm.

    ES2027L at Pitman arm

GM P/N's for the jam nuts (discontinued)

    14024806
    14024805
And all of these are 7/8-18" on the threaded ends

a stock pitman arm, and a universal steering stabilizer.
    DOM tubing, what diameter?
    .
now i am still in the research phase here...
so dont run out and buy this stuff until i have it on my rig, and tested out.

BEAR IN MIND THAT THE PICS POSTED ARE BORROWED FROM ANOTHER FORUM, AND ARE USING A DANA 44.

i will be taper drilling my dana 30 knuckles to receive the new TRE's, and have to taper drill the one tre to receive the drag link end.
